I’m Ryan J. Coyne - most people just call me "Coyne" and I’m the Chief Technology Officer and a co-founder at SERHANT., the world-famous real estate brokerage, technology, media production, creative agency, and EdTech powerhouse founded by Ryan Serhant. With a social following of over 9 million people worldwide and sales courses sold in 128 countries, SERHANT. is redefining what a modern brokerage can be, and I’ve led the tech team making it happen.
I split my time between South Florida and NYC, bringing an empathetic yet practical approach to building the future of real estate technology. My work spans conventional tech tools, media production, education, software development, and national growth strategies. I’ve built the ADX platform, led the development of the S.MPLE app, and helped transform SERHANT. into a seamless blend of tech and human expertise. If it’s wired, coded, or has the potential to revolutionize how agents work, I’ve probably had my hands on it somehow while keeping it all human and accessible.
Not to be confused with typical nerds, I’m a storyteller at heart and a frequent speaker known for blending humor with hard-hitting insights. I’ve been a keynote or featured speaker at Google, IBM, Herman Miller, SUNYCUAD, CRN XChange, CRN NexGen, Inman Connect, Silicon Slopes, The Real Deal Showcase, Sell It Masterminds, Bethpage Federal Credit Union, Farmingdale State College Business School, and more. Whether I’m on stage or on a podcast, I have a knack for making complex ideas sound simple and making simple ideas sound worth a billion dollars.
My expertise extends to artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, mass infrastructure, consumer digital psychology, public speaking, communication strategy, performance coaching, mixed reality, and technical marketing strategy.
In late 2013, I founded Explorify 3D, a marketing agency that went from zero to worldwide attention faster than most startups get to revenue. Within 20 months, I received a startup investment offer from Goldman Sachs, consulted for Google’s trade show marketing team, put Matterport on the map in NYC, and even had a brief flirtation with a partnership with FourSquare. After successfully exiting the company in 2018 and serving as VP of a cybersecurity company through 2020, I joined forces full-time with Ryan Serhant to build a brokerage that would do more than just sell real estate, it would change how real estate gets sold.
My civic contributions are as ambitious as my professional ones. From 2017 to 2018, I served as the youngest member of the New York State Downtown Revitalization Initiative Local Planning Committee, helping to urban plan and vote for the best use of $16 million in awarded grant money to my town. The project broke ground in 2021 and stands as a testament to my belief that technology and infrastructure should make life better, not just faster.
In 2019 I lobbied the Federal government to adopt my infrastructure plan to reimagine the US Postal Service as a modern technology giant - an idea that received Federal recognition and was reviewed by members of both the Senate and the House of Representatives before government disruption and post-pandemic economic recovery demanded congressional focus.
Outside of work (or, more accurately, in the rare moments when I’m not working), I’m the father of two incredible children, a home chef, a failed comedian turned voice actor, and a proud member of Summit Series since 2014. I’m as comfortable debating the merits of high-touch personal service versus efficiency-driven automation in real estate as I am perfecting a new recipe in the kitchen. Personally, I think there’s room for both, and that the right blend is where the magic happens.
Whether I’m shaping the next big thing in tech, captivating an audience, or hacking a recipe to make it twice as good in half the time, my mission is simple: make the future happen faster and have a hell of a lot of fun doing it.
